The Framework

The Passion Behind Be True to Yourself™

A personal growth and relationship-building model created to help people get honest about who they are, how they lead, how they love, how they work, and what needs to change within them.

The Problem

You have been loyal to everyone else — ignoring red flags, trying to be perfect, forgiving without healing, and setting boundaries only after exhaustion.

That's the room this work was built for. The first seven episodes of the Being True to Yourself podcast season live right inside that exhaustion — and walk through the way out.

Why This Work Exists

Most people aren't lost. They're loyal to a version of themselves they were never called to become.

We lead from performance. We love from fear. We work from pressure. We build from comparison. And then we wonder why nothing we touch feels like ours — even when it looks right from the outside.

Be True to Yourself exists because awareness is not the same as change. Naming the pattern is step one. Rebuilding from the truth — in how you lead, love, work, and build — is the actual work.

Why Tamala Built It

Built from 35+ women, a year-long program, and one honest pattern that kept repeating.

Across one-on-one coaching and group cohort sessions — including the year-long Her Finances, Her Business program Tamala co-authored the Financial Empowerment Workbook for — the same truth kept showing up: women were leading, loving, working, and building from a self they hadn't told the truth to yet.

A Professional Life Coach accredited by Transformation Academy since 2024, Tamala built the four lanes — Lead True, Love True, Work True, Build True — so the work isn't abstract. Each lane is a different entry point into your truth, with a framework underneath it you can actually practice.

Inside Each Lane

The frameworks underneath the lanes.

HEART, ACTION, PURPOSE, and TRUTH aren't random acronyms — they're the inner work of each lane. This is how you actually live the model.

Lead True

Lead with H.E.A.R.T.

Lead with H.E.A.R.T. helps people stop performing leadership and start practicing truthful leadership from the inside out.

  • HHonest — tell the truth with care and clarity. Leadership starts with telling the truth about where you are, what you feel, and what needs to change.
  • EEmotional Maturity — pause, process, listen, and respond instead of reacting from pain, pride, fear, or pressure.
  • AAccountability — own your choices, your patterns, your words, your silence, and your growth.
  • RRealignment — return to what is true, healthy, purposeful, and God-aligned after drifting, shrinking, overextending, or performing.
  • TTruth-Led Action — turn awareness into obedience, boundaries, decisions, and movement.
Love True

Love with A.C.T.I.O.N.

Love with A.C.T.I.O.N. helps people move beyond words and emotions into love that is truthful, healthy, consistent, and visible.

  • AActive Listening — listen to understand, not just to respond, defend, correct, or control.
  • CCare — care that is consistent, considerate, and not self-serving.
  • TTrust — healthy love cannot grow where there is constant confusion, dishonesty, manipulation, or emotional insecurity.
  • IIntentionality — intentional choices, follow-through, presence, and effort.
  • OOpenness — honest communication, humility, vulnerability, and the willingness to address what is real.
  • NNurture — patience, wisdom, boundaries, forgiveness, and truth. What is not nurtured will eventually become neglected.
Work True

Work True

Work True is about showing up in purpose, stewardship, discipline, and alignment — recognizing whether you are working from truth, or from pressure, survival, or performance.

Build True

Build True

Build True is about building your life, relationships, business, ministry, and future from truth instead of fear, comparison, guilt, or confusion.
